If you haven't yet seen the Expo 2020 stunt video, you'll be amazed at the adrenaline-packed pursuits they managed to cram into a minute-long clip. The video, which marks two years to go before the Dubai Expo 2020, sees trained daredevils flying through the Dubai Frame and racing around the Expo site.
The teams behind these gravity-defying stunts comprised Dubai Film, XDubai, and the Expo 2020 team. Just a day after the video was released on YouTube, a behind-the-scenes video of the stunts was also released to show the stunts take flight from conception to execution.
In the video, Dubai Film shows how the minute-long stunt video was made. Morgan Carlson, XDubai Coordinator, explained that some of the stunts shown in video were 'one-hit wonders'. He said that with factors such as limited timeframes, the XDubai team had to make sure that they get the stunt right in a single attempt.

For the jetsuit stunt through the Dubai Frame, the team had a meticulous plan involving precision timing, transponders and a helicopter! After that, specialised vehicles such as dirt bikes and a racing truck were brought inside the Expo 2020 construction site.

In this segment of the stunt XDubai athletes can be seen jumping from one building to another, dangling from a crane and jumping off one of the buildings in the site - on to a safety cushion. One of the labourers present during the shooting said that he enjoyed seeing the stunts in action - he was among the many workers on the site who were given front row seats to the stunts.
Commenting on the efforts of the team, Gerry Blaksley, the director said that he was proud of how the teams synergised to come up with solutions when the need arose.
