Hundreds of Filipinos thronged the Philippine Consulate to mark their 121st Independence Day with fellow Kabayans.
In commemoration of the Philippine's 121st Independence Day from Spanish rule, different areas in the UAE will hold spectacular events to mark the celebrations.
The Filipino community is excited for the record-breaking laser light show 'IMAGINE' that will be starting today, June 12 from 9pm, and will also take place from June 13-15 from 7pm onwards.

Also the ever smiling Pinoys are excited to see the iconic Burj Khalifa to light up in the colours of the Philippine flag for the very first time ever tonight (June 12) to mark the Independence Day celebrations at 9.40pm. The tallest manmade tower of the world will display the colours of the Philippine flag for a minute or so.
There are over 750,000 Filipinos living in the UAE and on the occasion of their Independence Day, the Philippine Consul-General in Dubai and Northern Emirates, Paul Raymund P. Cortes shared the message to be proud of their culture and heritage and work to their full potential to make not only the Philippines proud but also serve as an asset to the UAE, their second home.
