UAE tycoon donates Dh2.6 million to Kerala flood victims

SA UAE-based businessman has donated Rs50 million (Dh2.6 million) to help in the relief efforts in the south Indian state of Kerala that has been ravaged by floods. Yusuff Ali MA, chairman and  managing director of Lulu Group, made the donation towards the Kerala Chief Minister's Disaster Relief Fund.
The businessman had earlier donated Rs20 million to two prominent newspapers in Kerala for their initiatives to help the affected people.

"This is one the worst times for Kerala and my heart goes out to the people whose suffering is beyond imagination. I just pray and hope that we all come together in these testing times and do whatever we can to bring some solace to the lives of millions of our brothers and sisters," said Ali.
