#Thank_You_Sheikh_Mohamed in Arabic was the top trend on Twitter on Wednesday

Thousands of Emiratis and expats took to Twitter to express their gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

#Thank_You_Sheikh_Mohamed in Arabic was the top trend on Twitter on Wednesday as Twitterati responded to the call of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to mark his 12th accession day anniversary by showing gratitude to Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for devoting his life "to raising the stature of the nation and ensuring the happiness of citizens".

@KhalidAlAmeri tweeted: "Thank you Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed for everything you do for your country and the people. Your love and dedication to us all know no limit, and your leadership towards making our lives better is an inspiration to us all."

@Zainabaloshi1 thanked the Abu Dhabi Crown Prince, saying his vision is a symbol of success for the nation.

@Mazrouei_Meera tweeted: "Thank God for having the best leaders in history."

Tweeting with the handle @Lazy_9, Fahad Alawadhi said: "I swear, we are the luckiest people on earth! Can't be more grateful!"

Government departments across the country also took to Twitter to share their gratitude. @UAEmGov tweeted: "Thanks to the one who gave his days to his country. Who devoted his live to improve his nation. Who gave his time to ensure the happiness of his people. Thank you from the people of the UAE."

The AbuDhabi Sports Council tweeted: "With your good vision and great support, the height of our ambitions has increased. Hence, our sports has improved. Keeping our flag raised high in international stadiums remains our main target."
