Sunday 3
Top of the pops
Get down to Modhesh World tonight as one of the most popular musical artists, Hamdan Al Bloshi, will be on stage belting out his tunes. He's set to appear at the Show Town zone in Hall 6 at Dubai World Trade Centre alongside an array of interactive dance and theatrical performances that have been entertaining the crowd throughout the current edition of Modhesh World. What a great way to put the button on another successful year.

Monday 4
Steaking a claim
What's the first thing that comes to mind when you think of Argentina? Messi? El Diego? Well, it should be food, in particular steak. Home to the some of the best beef in the world, Argentina's wide open grazing land stalked by Gauchos are chock full of prime cattle. And you can have a taste right here in Dubai at the aptly named Gaucho, DIFC. Enjoy a variety of steak paired with a plethora of marinades at the eatery's Meat Me Mondays.

Tuesday 5
Look who's back
This is one of our favourite films of all time, yet we've never had the opportunity to see it on the big screen!  Twenty-six years after its original release, though, Terminator 2: Judgement Day has been remastered in 3D and will be released in cinemas across this week. A special screening for die-hard fans at Ibn Battuta is on tonight. Arrive as your favourite T2 character, there will be memorabilia and you can win prizes. Check @novocinemas on FB.

Wednesday 6
Take Lock, Stock
Dubai's official 'Best Local Band' is playing Lock, Stock & Barrel in Barsha Heights tonight! The Boxtones are known across the UAE for their great tunes and rock covers. Put them in one of the most fun locations in the city and you know it's going to be a great night. Titled 'Boxed Off Wednesdays with The Boxtones' this is an event to bring in the weekend early and forget there's, sadly, no public holiday this week. If you can't make it this evening, the band will be on for the next month.
Thursday 7
Ay, carumba!
La Tablita at the Hyatt Regency Dubai Creek Heights is back with its Mexican fiesta on tonight from 7pm onward. Dinner will be served buffet-style with live stations offering Mexican favourites including taqueria and seafood corners, street food such as garnachas, quesadillas and consome de Borrego - a 16-hour steamed Mexican spiced lamb stew. The new resident mariachi singer Carlos (pictured) is set to showcase his talents too.

Friday 8
Living the high life
Reading The Great Gatsby, more than a few parallels can be drawn between the party atmosphere and Dubai's penchant for a good time. Bringing those two worlds together, Bazxar in DIFC is holding a Great Gatsby themed brunch today. From 1pm to 4pm revisit the roaring '20s.

Saturday 9
Get in the zen zone
Savour some peace and quiet tonight at a full moon yoga session. Experience an evening under the stars at this 90-minute yoga and meditation session at the Fairmont the Palm's sand beach. Melanie Swan will lead the session for all levels for Dhs75 per person from 8pm.
