On November 1, Dubai is set to mark the 9th Public Transport Day. Spearheaded by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), the event will celebrate Dubai's innovative public transport network with chances to win cash prizes, and various rewards. The day will also be celebrated with many exciting activities. One of these activities will be an attempt at a Guinness World Record.
On Public Transport Day, RTA will try and break the world record for the mobility of the largest possible number of multi-national riders at Etisalat Metro Station. On Friday, RTA called on residents to take part in the record attempt. "A Guinness World Record awaits you. Don't miss the chance to join us and be part of this historic event," RTA tweeted.

They also shared a link to the website where you can register for the record attempt.
On top of registering, participants must be available for the entire day on November 1. They must also bring their valid passports to the venue and be 18 years of age and above. Participants will be given RTA-branded t-shirts during the world record attempt.
The Guinness World Record attempt is just one of the many activities that RTA has cooked up for the 9th Public Transport Day. Five users of public transport, including a person of determination, will have the chance to win Dh100,000, while Dh50,000 worth of prizes will be given out to users from within the RTA. Celebrities are also expected to show up so keep an eye out while in the Metro!
