Boat gutted in Dubai Marina fire, situation under control
The Dubai Civil Defence team rushed to the spot and brought the situation under control.
A blaze that gutted a yacht in Dubai Marina on Tuesday afternoon was quickly doused by the Dubai Civil Defence.
The operations room of the Dubai Civil Defence received information that at 2:30pm, a small yacht - not meant for cargo -had gone up in flames.
The firefighters from Al Marafa swung into action and managed to prevent the blaze from spreading to other boats. The team brought the fire under control at 3:12pm.
Mahomood Hamed, spokesperson of the Dubai Civil Defence, said that no one was injured in the incident and the boat was removed from the location after the fire was put out. The Dubai Civil Defence has started a probe to ascertain the cause of the fire.
