Man to be jailed for molesting mu'adhin's wife in Dubai

The mu'adhin had been announcing the call to prayer.

The Dubai court sentenced an Asian man to six months in jail, followed by deportation, for molesting the mu'adhin's (one who recites the call for prayer) wife while he was making the adhan (call to prayer) for the Fajr prayer in a mosque.
According to court records, as reported by 24, the man took advantage of the mu'adhin having left his quarters to make the adhan, to enter into his chambers in his private residence and harass his sleeping wife.
"My husband had gone to the mosque to make the Fajr adhan when I felt someone touching me and kissing me. When I opened my eyes I didn't recognize the man and started screaming after which he ran away," the victim stated.
The mu'adhin confirmed that he had seen the man praying in the mosque and then saw him again, later.
His wife was in a state of shock, trembling and crying because of the incident after he got home.
The mu'adhin went back to the mosque and confronted the man, who begged him not to tell the police and asked him for mercy.
