For Poonam Anandani, a UAE resident of almost three decades, visiting the India Real Estate Show (IRES) in October 2018 would perhaps be one of her most momentous days.
She walked away with the first ever prize in this country, picking up the keys to a shiny new Mazda6. As part of the IRES grand raffle draw, Poonam got lucky just by visiting the show.
Chosen from among thousands of visitors to the show organised by Khaleej Times, it was her first time winning anything this big in her life. "When my husband first shared the big news with me, I couldn't believe it. I thought that someone was playing a prank on us. We have always loved Mazda and driven one since 1993. Winning this car demonstrates that Mazda loves us, too," she said.
Suhail Galadari, Director, Galadari Brothers, handed over the keys of the brand new Mazda6 2018 model to Poonam, who was accompanied by her husband and two sons.
Poonam said she had a feeling that she would win the car. "From the moment I filled the raffle coupon, I knew that I would definitely win this car. I am extremely grateful to have visited the show in search of properties back home in India."
The inaugural two-day IRES took place on October 26 and 27 at the Crowne Plaza, Sheikh Zayed Road. The show brought together some of the biggest developers from India under one roof and witnessed over 3,000 serious buyers/investors in Indian realty in what is deemed as one of the most successful launch edition.
The event, which witnessed heavy footfall from Indian expats and investors, was inaugurated by Vipul, Consul-General of India, and graced by Malayalam superstar Nivin Pauly.
