A 4-km superhero fun run is being organised by Al Noor Training Centre for the determined ones in Al Barsha.
People of all ages, background and professions can come together, have fun, exercise, stay fit and support a great cause by participating in the Superhero Fun Run on March 9.
The real superheroes - determined ones with one guardian angel - can enter for free, while adults need to pay Dh100 and children Dh50. Kids below the age of 10 can enter for free.
All participants at the race will get free entry to the Al Noor Fun Fair 2018 and discounted breakfast coupons at the fun fair food court.
The school has been organising the carnival for the last 19 years, but this is the debut Superhero Fun Race. Talking about the idea behind the race, Isphana Al Khatib, director Al Noor Training Centre, said: "The 4km fun run endorses healthy living along with a fun element of superheroes. Everyone who supports us, registers for the run is a superhero for Al Noor Centre. You can wear anything you are comfortable in and join in for a 4km walk/ run along with your family, friends or colleagues to show your support for the determined ones.
"The funfair starts at 9am and will go on until 9pm. We have a lot of activities in the fun fair. It is planned and designed in a way that there is something for everyone - luxury goods are on sale for adults, games for kids, fitness and sports for the health enthusiasts, a painting competition for art lovers and an elaborate food court for food lovers. A weekend filled with laughter and amusement is a perfect way to spend quality family time together."
Runners can either register online or come early by 6.45am at Al Noor Centre and register for the race which will begin at 7.30am. The event will feature DJ Sash belting out some exciting numbers to motivate the crowd, while the registration team will provide all participants with registration stickers and Al Noor superhero run balloons.
From 8.30am, as the runners start coming back to the centre; Al Noor staff will make note of the early birds for the prizes, and the runners will receive, their certificates; funfair entry passes for their family of four and discounted breakfast coupons by Costa at the fun fair food court.
"The annual Al Noor Samsung Hope for Children Family Fun Fair has been planned bigger and better with an added element of the Super Hero Fun Run. This is aligned to our objective to provide an exciting and fun family experience, whilst raising much-needed funds for the centre," said Al Khatib.
