Police recovers Dubai tourist's expensive item lost in sea

Dubai - The item plunged into the sea while he was in a beachfront restaurant at Palm Jumeirah.

When a Dubai tourist's expensive and precious wristwatch fell into the sea, the man was left disappointed and felt extremely helpless. Even though he knew it was almost impossible to retrieve it from the deep waters, a faint hope prompted him to call the Dubai Police. What happened next was remarkable.
The Dubai Police's Maritime Rescue Department team swung into action. Within no time, they reached the beachfront restaurant at Palm Jumeirah Island where the incident had happened.
"We reached the place after receiving the call. A frogman team of Maritime Rescue Department went underwater to search for the wristwatch. In record time, our team succeeded in finding the wristwatch and returning it back to the tourist," Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Abdullah Al Naqbi, director of Sea Rescue Department in Dubai Police.
The tourist's joy at getting back the wristwatch knew no bounds. While showering praise on the Dubai Police, he thanked them for their prompt response and their efforts to retrieve the watch.
