If you are planning to head to the Dubai Mall to pick up your favourite items during the three-day super sale, we suggest you take the Metro.

Why? Because thousands of other residents too have headed to the mall, and all roads to Dubai's favourite destination are now choked.

"Routes towards Dubai Mall currently are crowded due to the three-day super sale," Dubai Police said in a tweet.

"Traffic police patrols are there to regulate traffic and ensure the safety of the public," the tweet further added.

So, even if you do manage to get out of the traffic and find you way into the mall parking, finding a vacant spot is out of question.

A quick look at Google Maps shows bold red lines splattered all around the Dubai Mall area.

Other congestion areas on Thursday evening include the Shindagha Tunnel in the Bur Dubai direction, where a multiple-vehicle collision has slowed down traffic

On Emirates Road, a stalled truck in the Sharjah direction before Almelaiha Bridge has caused congestion.
Meanwhile, roads were also clogged near Autism Rocks Arena due to singer Ed Sheeran's concert on Thursday night.
