There are some things that we could consider as part of the Dubai resident experience. These experiences are almost universal and nearly every resident in town has encountered them. These could be experiences such as trawling through Dubai-Sharjah traffic, or navigating the massive car park in a Dubai shopping mall. These, and more, were highlighted in a hilarious tweet which has gained a lot of popularity among Dubai residents.
In a tweet on Sunday, Dubai-based writer Andrea Anastasiou curated some experiences that every resident can relate to, and dubbed them "Three-word horror stories (Dubai edition)". Her examples of these horror stories include "100 percent humidity", "Saturday public holiday", "New Salik toll", among others.

It even includes some expressions that have become closely associated with Dubai's diverse population. Expressions such as "Hi ma'am sir", "Do the needful" and "Where you from" also make the list of horror stories.
Since tweeting, Dubai residents quickly jumped on the chance to reply to Anastasiou with their own set of Dubai horror stories.
Apart from horror stories, other residents also saw it as an opportunity to share three-word anecdotes of what they love about Dubai.
