Actor, producer and philanthropist Eva Longoria Bastón; actors Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Gary Dourdan; entrepreneur Huda Kattan and author Deepak Chopra will be among the international celebrities who will walk the red carpet as the Global Gift Gala's glittering pairing of celebrity and philanthropy returns to Dubai for the sixth time on December 13.
The black-tie event, to be held at the Grosvenor House, will feature a gala dinner and auction of "money-can't-buy items and experiences", organisers said.
Funds raised at the charity event will support essential initiatives by UAE-based global philanthropic organisation, Dubai Cares, and the Global Gift Foundation. These initiatives would create positive change in the development, welfare, health and social inclusion of the most vulnerable people around the world.
Founder and creator of the Global Gift Foundation and Chair of the Global Gift Gala, Maria Bravo, will lead the international stars down the red-carpet.
The evening will also see performances by actor Gary Dourdan and singer James Arthur, along with R&B duo Lion Babe.
Tariq Al Gurg, Chief Executive Officer at Dubai Cares, said: "This charity gala continues to be a high-profile, high-impact opportunity for donors and supporters to renew their promise to invest in children and young people's education. We hope to set an example for the coming generations to take the same footsteps and help in creating opportunities to improve the lives of children and young people by giving them proper knowledge and education."
Maria Bravo said: "We love returning to Dubai each year and meeting the organisations and individuals that help us raise funds for children and families that need our help."
