1,000 gift packs distributed among Haj pilgrims at Dubai airport

Pilgrims heading to Saudi Arabia via the Dubai International Airport were welcomed with special gift packs which included necessary items they need during their journey.
The Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, in collaboration with the Union Coop, distributed 1,000 gift packs to the Haj pilgrims.
Each gift pack included a first aid kit, an umbrella, in addition to personal care supplies and others.
Essa Al Ghafari, acting director of Dubai Corporation for Ambulance Services, said: "The initiative will help solidify humanitarian ground by establishing a strategic partnership within the community with charitable societies, ministries, government and private entities."
"The corporation carried out the initiative 'Gifts for Pilgrims' with Union Coop, which deals with the happiness and safety of the pilgrims."
Emergency ambulance teams have been provided around the clock as per the flight schedule of pilgrims, he added.
Suhail Al Bastaki, director of happiness and marketing department, Union Coop, said the 'Gifts for Pilgrims' initiative is being implemented for the third consecutive year.
