A smart, integrated inspection project to monitor markets, establishments and companies while checking violations has been launched by the Ajman Municipality. It will go a long way in ensuring safety and security for residents in the emirate.
Abdulrahman Al Nuaimi, director-general of the Ajman Municipality, said the project aims to increase the productivity of the inspectors and control procedures in various works in all the sectors and bring about quality and accuracy in different services provided to the public.
"The project will facilitate the inspection staff as they would be able to conduct and finish their job at the work site and receive new inspection requests without losing time," he added.
Al Nuaimi explained that the plan will enable the inspectors to issue violations and collect fines through an integrated electronic and smart system. It would also help inspectors plan their work and select the sites they inspect using several options based on priority, importance, location and time, he pointed out.
He also said the plan uses the latest technologies, while monitoring the performance indicators of employees, and reporting the violations. It has feature of smart signing, smart payment for violations and transactions, as well as smart printing.
Al Nuaimi said the project also provides a number of services, apart from monitoring violations. These include periodic inspection, emergency inspection, query and payment service, smart alerts, smart scheduling of tasks, management of user roles, automated billing, audit and smart search.
The project has internal connection with electronic systems. It links with the geographic information systems, the e-mail gateway and SMS, as well as with the smart payment gateway. It is also connected to the Department of Economic Development and federal networks.
