A massive fire that broke out at the popular Al Hoot shopping center in Ajman has been brought under control. No causalities were reported.
A top official at Ajman Civil Defence said that they received a call at 7am about the blaze and immediately dispatched the firefighter's team - who arrived at the scene in less than five minutes.
The team sought help from their Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain counterparts, as the strong wind caused the fire to spread rapidly in the shop where it had erupted.

The team managed to control the blaze and started the cooling operation at 10.45am. The operation will continue till noon to ensure that the fire doesn't occur again.
The fire sent thick plumes of smoke above the sky. All the material in the shop was gutted. The cause of the fire is to be ascertained after investigation.
