The Abu Dhabi Police has shared a video showing several accidents as part of the initiative launched by the police under the hashtag #your_comment.
The video showed many accidents involving motorists in different situations. 

Major Aisha Mohammed Al Zaabi, Head of Public Relations, Traffic and Patrol Department, Central Operations Sector at Abu Dhabi Police, emphasised that the pedestrians have the priority to cross the road and all motorists should be careful about it.
She urged all drivers to reduce their vehicles' speed before crossing areas or when the pedestrians are trying to cross the road.
The two-month awareness campaign launched in October raises awareness about the need to give priority to pedestrians.
Al Zaabi explained that the campaign will include sharing recorded videos that show the mistakes of drivers in accidents.

The Department of Transport also posted several reminders about traffic rules, traffic safety and traffic law amendments on their social media platforms. One of them being a reminder to the motorists who do not give way to pedestrians at designated crossings will attract a Dh500 fine and six black points.
