What happens if you don't leave sufficient space between vehicles while driving on UAE roads? The Abu Dhabi Police have posted a video on their social media channels to highlight just that.
The video posted on Saturday under the police's '#YourComment' initiative shows a sudden traffic build-up on an unidentified highway. Several vehicles can be seen screeching to a halt, with some even using the road shoulder to avoid hitting the vehicle ahead. One particular 4WD fails to stop and swerves into the road shoulder. It can be seen crashing into the side of the vehicle ahead and veering in the lane with two of its left wheels on the road shoulder and the other two in the air. It comes to a jerky stop ahead of the vehicle it crashed into and hits another on the side. It was not immediately clear how many vehicles were damaged in the crash.

As part of the #YourComment initiative launched earlier this year, the police have posted several videos which show common road violations and the harm they cause. The police then urge the public to provide comments that can help raise awareness and enhance traffic safety. According to the police, real-life videos of motorists violating road rules help raise awareness among the community.
