A speeding cement mixer collided with two vehicles on Wednesday afternoon in Abu Dhabi, causing road blockage.
The truck driver was speeding at the Al Ittihad Road intersection towards Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Street.
Abu Dhabi Police said the accident caused heavy damage and slowed down traffic but no one suffered from injuries.
Abu Dhabi Police received a call at 12.50pm on Wednesday about the incident.
Brigadier Mohammed Dahi Al Humairi, director of the Abu Dhabi Traffic Department at Abu Dhabi Police, said police closed the area until all damaged vehicles were removed and ensured the road was secured.
He pointed that the cause of the accident was speeding. The driver lost control of the truck when he turned too quickly, causing the damage.
Brigadier General Al Humairi urged drivers of cement truck vehicles to reduce their speed on the roads. The Abu Dhabi Police also issued messages for motorists through social media and radio stations about the road blockage.
