Lieutenant Colonel Dr. Abdullah Yousif Al Suwaidi, Deputy Director of the Department of Traffic of the External Areas in Abu Dhabi Police Department of Traffic and Patrols, said that investigations showed that the driver hit the truck which was already parked.
He urged all motorists not to get distracted while driving, adding that this was the reason that led to the incident.
In a message on the Abu Dhabi Police official Instagram account, he called all drivers to keep their eyes on the road at all times, and leave adequate distance between vehicles to avoid accidents.
The man was taken to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City, and police cordoned off the area to ensure the safety for the other drivers.
