An exhibition organised to commemorate the 'Year of Zayed.' is helping students and parents in Abu Dhabi to know about the Islamic culture and values, science of the holy Quran and negative effects of drugs in the society.
The three-day Islamic exhibition, titled 'The Everlasting Life - An Islamic Exhibition', which is being held at the Bright Riders School in Abu Dhabi, will conclude today. The exhibition, which has four dedicated pavilions also includes Abu Dhabi Police's awareness drive 'My Life is Priceless', which promotes awareness on the negative effects of drug abuse.
Major Galib Abdullah Al Khabi, an official at the directorate of drug control department and director of branch implementation programme at Abu Dhabi Police, said:"It is important to teach young people about the dangers and harmful effects of drugs."
"I have learned about the Islamic culture, good morals like peace and tolerance, importance of helping the poor and needy and the love for one another," said 14-year-old, Ghazwan Zakir, a Grade 9 student at Bright Riders School.
