Typing centres welcome new deadline for ID card

DUBAI - The announcement of an extended deadline for Emirates ID brought a sigh of relief for typing centres as it marked the end of several days of chaos and confusion. The latest extension will allow typing centres to accept new applications while processing the several hundred pending forms.

Chinese state TV comes to UAE

DUBAI — China Central Television (CCTV), a major state television broadcaster in China, announced the opening of its regional office in Dubai as it signalled the start of a new era in the relations between the two countries.
