Real Madrid superstar Luka Modric aims to cap off an "amazing year" with the Fifa Club World Cup Trophy in the UAE.
After having helped Real Madrid win their third straight Champions League title in May this year, Modric pulled the strings for Croatia which reached the Fifa World Cup final in Russia.
Modric's magnificent display in Russia even earned him the player of the tournament award.
The 33-year-old playmaker then clinched the Fifa Player of the Year award before winning the first Ballon-d'Or of his career earlier this month.
Now the former Tottenham player wants to help Real Madrid win their third straight Club World Cup trophy.
"It's been an amazing year. I hope we can round it off in the best possible way, by winning this World Cup," Modric told FIFATV.
Modric then revealed that he has completely overcome the post-World Cup fatigue.
"I feel much better going into this tournament than I did at the start of the season. I struggled to find my rhythm again after what was a very tough World Cup. I was worn out physically and mentally, but in the last few matches I've been feeling better in a physical sense," he said.
If Real Madrid go on to win the title in Abu Dhabi on December 22, they will become the most successful team in Club World Cup history with four titles.
"The most important thing is the group as a whole, that and the team playing well. I try to help in any way I can. My only goal is to win the Club World Cup, which is an important title for all of us. After that we'll just have to wait and see what happens at an individual level," he said.
Despite suffering an embarrassing 3-0 defeat to CSKA Moscow in their final Champions League group game, Real are beginning to find their best form under new coach Santiago Solari.
"We're working to be better physically and to be able to express our talent and abilities on the pitch better," said Modric.
"We're trying to stick together more on the pitch and to be a team. I think we've got better under Solari in that respect. There are still some areas where we can improve but I think we're heading to Abu Dhabi in pretty good form. When there's a trophy at stake, we're motivated."
