This year's edition of the IPL brings a lot of excitement and much needed relief to all cricket lovers across the world. As the entire edition is going to be played here in the UAE, this is an open opportunity for all the eight teams to stake claim. I strongly feel this is finally going to be Royal Challengers Bangalore's year as they look like a balanced unit in all departments with a more measured team composition and management.

Shoeb Naik, Team Operations Manager

I'm really excited about the IPL and looking forward to it. The Covid-19 has halted the Indian cricketing action and the IPL is reviving it in a way. It would be great to see Indian stalwarts take on each other and compete to be the best in this coveted tournament. This year seems a little different considering most of the players are not in sync with their normal routine, and would need to step up their game to be able to conquer the title. While my heart stays with Mumbai Indians for the match-winners they possess, I wish Royal Challengers Bangalore all the best and hope they give stiff competition to others considering their team balance is upbeat!

Amit Vardhan, CEO

IPL brings back the cheer in many lives. Finally its happening kudos to UAE, the host of this biggest premiere league. The UAE has managed to take the responsibility of this Mega Event and is handling it with complete responsibility. Pandemic has lowered the morale of everyone around. but the show must go on. IPL will bring back joy and entertainment to the cricket enthusiasts around the world and bring business to many industries. Looking forward to all the action.

Abhimanyu Jain, Marketing Manager

IPL is an extravagant event in India and now the same momentum has picked up here. Even though I would not be able to see the matches on the ground, the excitement remains with the cricketing stars playing right next to us in the UAE. I would love to see RCB lifting the trophy this time but Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings are the two strongest teams and they have been the most stable throughout all IPL tournaments. CSK is still a strong contender but my heart goes with Mumbai Indians and they will lift their fifth title.

Paromita Dey, Cricket enthusiast

As a cricket buff, I am very excited about the IPL being held here. The ongoing Covid-19 pandemic has changed the way sports events are being held worldwide. This event will definitely get the spirit back on as we all reel under the effects of lockdown. I look forward to watching Mumbai Indians (my favourite) play on TV.

Praveer Singh, Head of Platform & Technology

IPL for me marks beginning of the festive season...it's India ka tyohar! IPL is like watching a Bollywood masala entertainer every evening. This season in the UAE makes it extra special, even though we may not be able to catch the action in stadiums, it feels great to have your favourite cricketers and their families in our city.  My favourite team: Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians.

Snigdha, CSK enthusiast

The feeling IPL brings with it is incredible. The yellow reminds us of the sun and the positive power it radiates, escalating that energy as we see roaring lions. We are excited to roar and finally see the face of Dhoni. All that energy will be channelised to scream - Whistle PODU, Go CSK!

Vishal Dhume, Cricket enthusiast

UAE offers the perfect setting for the return of IPL's cricket extravaganza. What an absolute treat to see your favourite players coming back fitter, fresher and hungrier than ever to enthrall us on the world's largest centre stage. Just can't wait to watch the cracker of an opener between MI and CSK - my top two favourites!

Anushree Singh, Key Account Manager

Glad to see the IPL come to UAE again, one unforeseen benefit of Covid-19! I hope the teams enjoy UAE's fabulous hospitality and am rooting for the best team to win, which is CSK, of course!

Anuradha Singh, Senior Manager Projects

As an individual who has been associated with cricket fraternity in the past and having followed IPL since its second edition, it is a euphoric feeling to be part of the IPL frenzy here in the UAE this year! Moreover, all this action and excitement herald the return of sports and events after all the doom and gloom. I am rooting for Mumbai Indians as always and would love to see them as champions of the IPL UAE edition.

Joy Chakravarty, Managing Director

I am absolutely looking forward to the 2020 IPL. Two main reasons for that is - one: this is probably the last time we will get to see the legendary Mahendra Singh Dhoni in action here, and two: it is an amazing opportunity for the UAE to showcase its ambitions and determination to organise world-class events despite the current Covid-19 situation.

Rosemary Fernandes, Cricket enthusiast

Considering what 2020 has been like so far, hearing the IPL was headed to the UAE was a fab bit of news. It's really made a positive difference to a lot of people around the world who love this format of the game and can't wait to see their favorite players on the field again. Who will win? CSK, of course! It'll be Dhoni's special gift to his army of fans, a bunch of who are my own family and friends!

Shilpa Rajan, Lawyer

Can't wait for Saturday - Day 1 of the IPL in the UAE. The anticipation has been real this year - from following the players and their journey to the UAE to eagerly looking forward to watch them play! I really hope the stadiums will allow spectators, at least towards the end of the tournament subject to social distancing rules, of course. I can't wait for the excitement to begin and for MS and CSK to take the trophy home. #whistlepodu

Yasir Imam Rizvi, Head of Procurement

This year's IPL is curving in a different way as the pandemic have limited the audience of IPL in the ground. Nevertheless, people will still watch this 13th season behind the screen. Moreover, fans have already picked up their conqueror in back of their mind though it's on the basis of affection associated with the team. I am more lean and stand with Royal Challengers Bangalore as Virat Kohli leads the team.

Abhinav Srivastava, CEO

I am really looking forward to the IPL here in the UAE. This is a much-needed positive news for all of us to go back to some normalcy. Having the players here, in a safe bubble, and being able to at least see some T20 excitement, at least in a lounge or at home, would be great.
RCB seem to be clear favourites, with a star-studded batting line-up, though my heart is with Delhi Capitals! Let the games begin!

Priya Bhatnagar, Artist

I am looking forward to IPL tournament 2020. The fact that it is happening in the UAE adds to level of excitement and I can't wait for it to start. As a cricket fan, IPL is certainly going to brighten the evenings after the somber mood in the last few months due to the Covid-19 pandemic. As a Virat Kohli fan all the way, I am sure RCB will grab the title this year.

Sudesh Shankar, Publisher and Managing Director

IPL coming to the UAE is an absolutely fabulous opportunity for the cricket fraternity. I personally feel that the younger teams may shine this year. Something tells me that this IPL may have RCB, Kings XI Punjab and Delhi Capitals come out on top - seeing how they have a well-balanced young team. But of course, we can't rule out Mumbai Indians either, who have a strong footing with their experience.
