Strategic Design Management and Fashion Design

Studying Strategic Design Management and Fashion Design enables me to pursue my passion by combining two disciplines that integrate the present and the future. As an Emirati woman, I am determined to use my skills to create something new and useful for my country. One reason for my enthusiasm is the passion of our leaders for boosting quality of life in the UAE. It has become one of the most important countries in the world in a short period of time, but the vision of our leaders continues, and this gives me energy to elevate my country's beauty. I'm ambitious to see my designs nationwide and worldwide. I am inspired by the Emirati national dress, and I hope to include it in my future designs and help it become a global fashion symbol.

Design is very important to me, as it merges traditional cultures and future-forward thinking whilst allowing for creative freedom to create beneficial products for society. Inshallah, after graduation, I will be working for an excellent firm to increase my abilities and experience. In a few years after that I would like to complete a master's degree and open by own design firm as an Emirati woman.

As an Emirati woman who aspires to achieve her goals, I hope to be a source of inspiration for other Emirati women as well and help them realise that nothing will stand in their way when they set their goals in mind. Trust yourself because you will achieve what you want, even if you think it is impossible.
I major in Multimedia Design and Strategic Design Management. As an Emirati designer, I will share my skills and efforts for the benefit of the UAE by doing what is best for my country. I dream and I hope to be in the ranks of creative young Emirati women and achieve my goal with the words of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum: "Our country and our youth do not find the impossible in their dictionary."

Design, for me, is a way to use critical thinking to solve multi-sector challenges, where the designer creates a complete and organised plan to address an issue with creativity and innovation. My ambition for the future is to include creative thinking and design in various sectors in the UAE, and make it an important part of the development process, whether in education, medicine, environment or space. I believe in the importance of the designer's role in creating a better system for the future because design matters more than ever.
