The Oshiwara Police has registered an FIR against Alok Nath under section 376 of IPC (rape) on the complaint by writer Vinta Nanda, a tweet by ANI said.
Nanda had filed a complaint against the actor on October 17, accusing him of raping her 19 years ago.

Alok Nath had in October filed a civil suit in a court against Nanda in connection with her rape accusations against him and sought Re 1 as damages for allegedly defaming him.
"I have waited for this moment to come for 19 years," Nanda wrote in a long, heart-wrenching Facebook post, referring to the "predator in question" as "the actor par excellence who is known as the most 'sanskaari' (cultured) person in the film and television industry".
