The President received a telephone call from the Amir of Kuwait, His Highness Shaikh Sabah Al Jaber Al Sabah, who is also chairman of the GCC summit, and the two leaders made this issue the top priority while expressing their profound concern over the safety of the survivors and their whereabouts as well as how to get them back to neutral territory and finally to their homelands.
Earlier, Shaikh Sabah made similar calls on the leaders of Saudi Arabia, Bahrain and Oman, Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported.
All the leaders stressed the urgency of lifting the unjust siege on Gaza. They also called for the free inflow of relief supplies and the imperative to put an end to the criminal acts committed by Israel.
UAE State Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Anwar Mohammed Gargash on Tuesday met the Ambassador of the Arab States of Gulf Cooperation Council.
Gargash called for coordination among GCC states in global forums to ensure that such act do not pass without consequences.
