20 killed, 110 wounded in Kerbala blast

Iraqi health officials say a motorcycle bomb blast has killed at least twenty Shia pilgrims near the outskirts of the holy city of Kerbala.

The official says the bomb exploded on Wednesday at about 11 a.m. as pilgrims were making their way to the city south of Baghdad for an important Shia religious observance.
The official said at least 110 people have been wounded in the blast.
Thehospital official in Kerbala confirmed the casualties.
Both officials spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to release the information.
