UAE traders searching for next amazon or apple stock ? This new Interactive Brokers tool can help
Online brokerage firm's GlobalAnalyst helps investors crunch numbers better to find new opportunities and diversify their portfolios
Highly rated global brokerage firm Interactive Brokers Group is bringing its latest powerful tool, GlobalAnalyst, to the UAE, allowing global investors among the international expatriate community and Emiratis, alike, to compare the relative valuations and financial metrics of stocks globally in the complex but rewarding financial world.
Interactive Brokers (IB) released the product late last month for the number crunchers. "In addition to offering investment choices from more than 135 global markets, we continue to provide investors with leading technology and tools to help them make informed investment decisions. We emphasize that thorough analysis must always follow initial findings," said Thomas Peterffy, Chairman and Founder of IB.
GlobalAnalyst enables investors to discover undervalued companies that may have greater growth potential and diversify their portfolio. Given the wide scope of international markets, investors can find it challenging to trade in different currencies or evaluate the relative merits of stocks.
IB's GlobalAnalyst helps traders compare any number of stocks in 27 currencies of choice before buying and selling from a single screen. Investors can search for stocks by various parameters - region, country, industry, market capitalization and currency.
A table displays current market and financial metrics, including P/E/G Ratio (PE divided by three-year compound earnings growth rate). Smaller PEGs typically indicate undervalued companies. All such information will be free to use for Interactive Brokers customers.
Shailly Jain, an Indian expat homemaker, told Khaleej Times: "I'm past the beginner level and realized trading tips on public platforms can be too common or outdated by the time it reaches my inbox. It is my money, and I would rather make a decision by myself rather than rely on market buzz, mostly with vested interests. From what I hear, GlobalAnalyst could be just what I need."
Like Jain, there are many hoping to find the next Amazon or Apple stock or even spot the next Telegram, the American company with its humble beginnings in Dubai for its Russian owners.
More importantly, such education and convenience tools come free of cost or at very low rates. This adds value to the investment process, and it is a win-win situation for the trading community in an atmosphere where most online brokers charge high rates for fund management.
The addition of tools such as the GlobalAnalyst have helped Interactive Brokers continue to receive awards and accolades from reputed financial websites and organizations worldwide every year. "Interactive Brokers is in no danger of being unseated as our pick for best online broker for international trading" Investopedia says. Investopedia also rates IB #1 Best Broker for Advanced Traders.
As late as 2021, influential Barron's magazine has given Interactive Brokers top rank for four consecutive years while BrokerChooser.com rates IB as its top pick for traders in the UAE especially. According to a StockBrokers.com review last year, IB offers the lowest margin loan interest rates across all balance tiers.
Interactive Brokers' strong capital position, conservative balance sheet and automated risk controls are designed to protect it and their clients from large trading losses.
Listed on the Nasdaq as IBKR, the company's transparency, low commissions, and rates with support for best price execution are some of the reasons for success for Interactive Brokers, which has more than 1.54 million client accounts. The daily average trade revenue is above $2.25 billion, as of January 2022.
And with such innovative tools as GlobalAnalyst, Interactive Brokers continues to provide investors with increased opportunities for finding the kinds of investments that could greatly enhance their own positions.
