Dubai — Kalyan Silks has opened its fourth international showroom in Dubai and indicated that expansion in other Gulf countries is also on the cards for next year.
The new showroom was jointly inaugurated by Prithviraj and Dhanush, young Indian superstars and the brand ambassadors of Kalyan Silks.
“We owe our success in Middle East mostly to the Indian expatriates. It was their incessant demand that inspired us to open our first showroom at Karama in 2011 and later spread our operations to Sharjah and Abu Dhabi. As we open our fourth international showroom at Meena Bazaar, we aim at serving our customers better,” said T.S. Pattabhiraman, chairman and managing director of Kalyan Silks. “After Meena Bazaar, we will progressively spread our operations to more GCC countries. By the beginning of next year, we will open two more showrooms in Doha. With more showrooms, more innovative products and a century-old heritage, we aim to build a silk route that will change the world of textile retailing forever,” added Pattabhiraman.
Spanning over 10,000 sqft of shopping space, the showroom is truly one of its kind. The showroom showcases the finest in Kancheepuram silk, Banaras silk, Mysore silk, designer sarees, fancy sarees, chiffon sarees, cotton sarees and set sarees. The latest series of India’s largest selling branded bridal silk Saugandhika, Perfect 10 is one of the biggest attractions of this showroom. Apart from the sarees, the showroom is also well-stocked with matching blouse materials, unstitched churidar materials, readymade salwars, gaghra cholis, lehengas and ladies’ western wear. The widest ranges in men’s wear, the trendiest creations in men’s formals, casuals, men’s western wear, suits, blazers, men’s ethnic wear, sherwanis and dhotis are the other major attractions of the showroom.
A world leader in silk, Kalyan Silks is today one of the most preferred textile brands in the entire UAE. One of the reasons that made Kalyan Silks a runaway success in the Middle East is its unflinching commitment to bring the finest Indian collections at the same Indian prices.
Kalyan Silks is probably the only textile retailer that has successfully implemented the same fair price strategy across its international outlet network.
Today, Kalyan Silks prides itself in 18 world-class showrooms spread across the globe. In India, Kalyan Silks’ ever-expanding retail showroom network reaches out to Kochi, Thrissur, Palakkad, Kozhikode, Kannur, Kottayam, Thiruvalla, Thiruvananthapuram, Bengaluru and Erode. Kalyan Silks’ overseas network comprises of two showrooms in Dubai, and one each in Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.
