GTHE is a flagship company in the Galadari Brothers group of companies and exclusive distributor of Komatsu and a number of other leading international brands of heavy earthmoving, construction, and materials handling equipment.

“Huge investment in the infrastructure sector and strong recovery in the property market have increased demand for heavy machineries in the country boosting GTHE sales,” Acting General Manager Samer Khaled told Khaleej Times at the Materials Handling Middle East exhibition, which concluded recently.

“We recorded a 20 per cent growth in machines sales in the first six months of 2013 and hoped to maintain the same by the end of the year. Parts sales and after sales business is around 30 per cent higher than last year’s first half,” he added.

Talking about the company’s priority areas, he said: “My top most priority is to give excellent products support and service. We don’t want to just sell machineries, but also to emphasise on after sales and full product support across the country.”

Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, GTHE has branches in Al Ain, Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, and Fujairah. It also has service centres in Abu Dhabi and Dubai. “We are planning full service support in Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah, Al Ain and Western Region of Abu Dhabi to meet the customers’ requirements and to reduce breakdown,” he explained.

GTHE is one of the leading heavy equipment distributors in the UAE in terms of the heavy equipment line, he said, adding: “We are sole distributor of Japan’s Komatsu since 1974 in the country. The company is among the top five in the country in material handling equipment. By GTHE’s participation in the exhibition, we want to increase our market share and sales in this segment,” Khaled emphasized.

GTHE is presenting a range of new 4 tonnes, 5 tonnes diesel warehouse trucks. The 4-tonnne class engine powered forklift truck, FH series FH40/45/50-1, is Komatsu’s first forklift truck installed with electronic controlled HST (Hydrostatic Transmission) and variable pump CLSS (closed-center load sensing system).

“Komatsu’s forklifts are well known in the market for its excellent quality and good reputation. We are planning to invest a lot in this segment as we believe there is a high demand for this. GTHE has all products for road, contracting, material handling and rentals. GTHE has excellent products for all customers’ needs from main contractors to transportation companies and oilfields,” Khaled pointed out.

“The Dubai property market is booming and if Dubai wins in its Expo 2020 bid, it will further spur activities. We all are waiting for the announcement in November that will make Dubai prime mover in the world,” he added.

“GTHE is planning to venture into the rental and used machinery business. We have never been in this segment, but are optimistic in its potential. It’s one of the main targets of the company,” Khaled concluded.
