The unanimous sentiment among visitors who got first hand experience of the portal is that it helps to put Dubai’s health industry at the forefront of the global health community, in terms of cutting edge technology and user experience.

Khalid Ahmed Al Shaikh Mubarak, deputy director-general of the DHA stated: “We are truly honored by the praise and compliments we have received from the high profile visitors who got first-hand experience of our web portal and motion sensing technology. What makes this positive response more gratifying is that many of these visitors represent some of the biggest leaders in regional and global technology. Therefore this is concrete proof that Dubai has what it takes to be the leading destination for world-class healthcare.”

What enhanced the popularity of the DHA stand is that visitors were able to get quick health checks to measure their blood pressure, blood sugar levels, pulse rates and other vital signs. Visitors could also get a private consultation with a doctor. The DHA then used its hi-tech system to instantly record the medical data of each visitor, and reflect the overall results on a digital screen. This unique concept will gauge the health status of the overall population of Gitex visitors, by showing how their health would look like if Gitex visitors were a single individual.

On the web portal, the DHA’s eServices are geared towards both individual and corporate users. They touch on a broad range of aspects, from online health services to licensing services, statistical services and more general services.

Commenting on the web portal, Mubaraka Mubarak Ali Ibrahim, information technology director, DHA, explained: “We are great believers in simplicity. That’s why we have simplified our online processes to enhance the user experience, and deliver potentially life-saving medical information online. This will also maximise our operational efficiency, since we are streamlining all our eServices under one smart interface. Knowledge is power, and we are putting this power right at the fingertips of our users. Our ultimate goal is to fulfill the vision of His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, of making Dubai the world capital for superior healthcare.”
