Sharjah — Shaikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, inaugurated the first in-showroom centre for vehicle registration services at Al-Futtaim Motors’ Toyota showroom in Sharjah, in the presence of Brigadier Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, General Commander of Sharjah Police.
This latest addition joins five existing registration offices within Al-Futtaim Motors showrooms across Dubai and Abu Dhabi, bringing Sharjah into the fold.
Services provided over the counter include vehicle registration and renewal, tourist vehicle export, confiscation and renewal of number plates, issuance of transfer and export certificates, vehicle possession certificates, permits for people with special needs, as well as issuance and renewal of commercial number plates.
Brigadier Al Shamsi was joined by Jon Williams, managing director of Al-Futtaim Motors, and Yousuf Ali Al Raeesi, general manager for government relations, health security, safety and environment at Al-Futtaim Motors, at the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The new centre is considered the first registration office in a distributor’s showroom in Sharjah and offers vehicle licencing, as well as driving permits issuance and renewal services to both customers and non-customers of Al-Futtaim Motors.
Williams stressed the company’s commitment to better serve the communities in which it operates, marking this occasion as another celebration of the company’s 60-year journey of “Moving the Nation”.
Williams said: “The UAE is a constantly growing market. This is particularly true of Sharjah, which has seen an increased number of residents and businesses, resulting in an upsurge of traffic in registration offices. The new Al-Futtaim Motors Centre for Registration Services in our Toyota showroom is a way for us to better serve our communities in line with our diamond jubilee motto of ‘Moving the Nation’.”
Al Raeesi said: “With three new counters providing a full range of services, we are hopeful that the new centre will bring a positive experience to the community in the comfort of the Toyota showroom.”
