Abu Dhabi — Abu Dhabi Motors has been declared the best-performing BMW Group importer in the Middle East, with 3,435 BMW and Mini vehicles delivered to customers across the Capital and in Al Ain during the first quarter of 2015.

Representing a 29 per cent growth in sales compared to the same period last year, Abu Dhabi Motors’ first-quarter success follows on from a record-breaking 2014, in which it became the first importer to break the 10,000 vehicles milestone in the Middle East.

“We are delighted to have kickstarted our 30th year of partnership with the BMW Group with exceptional sales,” said Arno Husselmann, general manager of Abu Dhabi Motors.

Growth was driven by robust sales of BMW’s top-of-the-range models, including the BMW X5 Sports Activity Vehicle with 1,990 vehicles sold, BMW X6 Sports Activity Coupe with 463 and the BMW 5 Series with 252 sold.

The BMW i8 plug-in hybrid sports car, the second model to be unveiled by BMW i, the Group’s sub-brand developing sustainable products and mobility services, also contributed to Abu Dhabi Motors’ first-quarter growth.

“Our growth shows us that our dedication to deliver unmatched sales and service standards is the right strategy that results in successful sales,” added Husselmann. “For the first three months of this year, we achieved a customer satisfaction score of 97.7 per cent in sales and 96.6 per cent in service. This, coupled with our portfolio of high-option cars, an unmatched service inclusive and repair package for six years, and or 150,000kms, as well as a team of industry professionals is the key to our success.”

Another example of the importer’s customer-centric approach is its recent contract with Audatex, a global provider of insurance claims solutions, which is now available across all Abu Dhabi Motors’ service centres and body shops.

Operating as the hub of the accident insurance industry, they connect insurers, bodyshops, vehicle manufacturers, accident management companies, vehicle owners, fleet managers, dealers, parts suppliers, salvage agents and many other parties in the supply chain.

“When a damaged vehicle is brought in, it is connected to the Audatex system. As a result of its integrated connectivity, the system immediately provides an accurate estimate of the damage as well as the cost of repair. It even goes a step further and identifies the specific parts that need to be replaced as well as the associated costs,” said Husselmann.
