YTCA CFI pulled off a thrilling last-over victory over Royal Cricket Academy in the Under-19 division of the Ramada Gulf Cup T20 Cricket tournament being played on the turf wicket at the YTCA Durham Cricket Academy in Ajman. The tournament is being held under the aegis of the Ajman Cricket Council.
Chasing Royal's score of 116 runs, YTCA managed to score 117 for six wickets with just one ball to spare in a nail-biting finish. Fahad Nawaz (33 off 30 balls) and Khilesh Mamtani (30 off 20 balls) set the stage for YTCA's win.
Earlier, Royal batsmen Majid Khan (25 off 31), Shahjahan Khan (22 off 26) and Salah Shakeel (21 off 24) tried their best.
In the University matches, it was a mixed bag for Heriot Watt as Chirag Suri's five-wicket haul helped them beat Skyline by six wickets while they suffered a 20-run defeat to Amity University.
In the under-15 match, YTCA Al Sama bt krickets Spero by 23 runs.
