Choosing to bat first, Issar Legends were on the backseat losing two wickets but Nair changed the frame of the game racing to a 53-ball 96 consisting of 10 boundaries and three sixes. He also shared a huge 153-run stand with Sajeesh Babu (30, 32b, 2x4) who provided the perfect support to his partner.

Hashmath Khan gave the ideal finishing touches hitting 38 runs from 19 balls containing six fours and a six as Issar Legends piled on a massive 217 for 7 in 20 overs.

Chasing a big target, NKD Pizza succumbed under pressure but Anis Sadiq waged a lone battle but his efforts could only delay the inevitable. He scored 63 runs from 51 balls with the help of seven hits to the fence and one over it.

For the winners, Safeer Khan, Anwar Masahir, Asif Tahir and Vinod Nair all took two wickets each.

In another match, Fanatics defeated Abu Dhabi Warriorzz by eight wickets. It was Krishna Chandran’s four wickets that saw Abu Dhabi Warriorzz collapse for just 88 runs. In reply, Krishna Chandran (26) and Vaidyanath P (33 not out) reached the target in just 11 overs.

In yet another match, Al Faraa CC also secured an eight-wicket victory over Drehomes Welkin. Ijaz Bashir’s unbeaten half century was the highlight of the match.
