UAE gets four more medals at Special Olympics World Games

The UAE bagged a gold, one silver and two bronze medals at the Special Olympics World Games Abu Dhabi on Friday. The country's overall tally is now six medals (two golds, two silvers and two bronzes) which puts it in sixth position.
Aysha Adel Al Nuaimi won gold in 100m speed skating. The 19-year-old teenager in lane three powered through with a time of 21.67 seconds over Rahaf Hasan Yaseen from Jordan (23.21 seconds) and Avila Anant Kane (28.63 seconds) of India.
The UAE won a bronze medal in 100m skating through Sujith Shenoy (36.19 seconds), who finished behind Sherif Mohamed Nada from Egypt and Julian Exequiel Curiche from Argentina.
Meanwhile in other sports, the UAE thrashed South Africa 4-0 in a Group A football match. A brace from Abdelaziz Al Hamour and a goal apiece from Ayman Al Maqbali and Abdelaziz Al Hamour saw the UAE stay alive in their group.
