UAE face Sri Lankan test in ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup

The UAE, who qualified as hosts, have been lacklustre in the competition, despite the coach Aaqib Javed saying that they had enough time to prepare for it.

It has been a poor effort from the UAE and they haven’t got anything right—be it the batting, bowling or the fielding, despite having some really good players in their ranks. The batting has misfired, the bowling has showed no purpose and the fielding has been sloppy.

The UAE lost to England in their opening game in Abu Dhabi before going down to New Zealand in Sharjah. Up next for them are the in-form Sri Lankans, who are sitting pretty on top of the table with four points from two wins.

Meanwhile, England take on New Zealand in the other Group D fixture at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.

In Abu Dhabi, South Africa lock horns against Zimbabwe at the Shaikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium, while Canada and West Indies face-off at the Shaikh Zayed International Cricket Stadium’s Nursery Oval 1, in Group C fixtures.
