Team Cadillac lift Beach Polo Cup
The Beach Polo Cup Dubai 2015 was held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman Dubai Sports Council.
Dubai — Team Cadillac was crowned the champion of the 2015 edition of the Beach Polo Cup Dubai (BPCD) after defeating Team VistaJet and Bombardier in the final by 13 goals to 9 in a spectacular closing day at the Skydive Dubai stadium.
The Beach Polo Cup Dubai 2015 was held under the patronage of Shaikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman Dubai Sports Council.
Team Cadillac, made by Tariq Albwardy, Sam Instone and Matías Machado, played a great final against last year’s champions Team VistaJet and Bombardier (Rashid Albwardy, Jan Bladen and Martín Valent) who battled until the end in a very thrilling encounter.
Team Cadillac had a great start taking a quick lead by 4-0 in the first chukka, with Matías Machado on fire and Tarik Albwardy and Sam Instone making great team work.
Team VistaJet and Bombardier reacted strongly in the third chukka and managed to close the gap. But in the last chukka, Machado´s talent was on the show again which helped Team Cadillac to register a victory by 13-9 and clinch the 2015 edition of the Beach Polo Cup Dubai championship.
Matías Machado, Team Cadillac Argentinian professional player, was the MVP of the tournament. Earlier, Team Autism Rocks, made by Stuart Wrigley, Saoud Khoory and Maxi Malacalza defeated Team Lindt (Piero Dillier, Uwe Zimmermann and Lucas Labat) in the semifinal by 8 goals to 7.
