Professional Smith triumphed with an outstanding score of seven under par over the weekend and with it the prestigious Men’s Open trophy. Second place was claimed by 2013’s champion Michael Harradine, whose father designed the course, with a notable score of one over for the tournament leaving him eight shots behind Smith. Smith’s consistency over the weekend, scoring 70 in his first round and 67 on the final day proved the deciding factor in his victory.
Harradine did, however, claim the best overall gross score with a one over par total of 145. Second place went to Scott Nightingale with a score of 147, and third place went to Craig Vance, who narrowly lost out on second place via countback.
In the Net division, Matthieu Charnelet took first place with two impressive rounds of 70 and 72 (142) to beat his closest rival Phil Cook (146), by four shots. Third place went to Abu Dhabi Golf Club Captain Donovan Joseph, with a score of 148 (+4).
