The side captained by Jordan Adetiba who has been called up for the U13 national preparatory camp in Nigeria later this year, won every single match without conceding a goal.

The Dubai side were well served by James Roberts in defence, Ian Robb on the left wing, striker Marco Zaccaria and Daniel Alves the goalkeeper who pulled off save after save to keep a clean sheet throughout the competition.

The experience of having taken part over the past four years stood the team in good stead and this year the Desert Rangers emerged as champions, winning the cup in the under 11 age category.

The Rangers played in all, seven matches on their way to lifting the coveted Danson Sports FC Summer Football Tournament trophy.

Again, the talent scouts of the top English Premier League outfits were seen taking down notes on the budding talent at the event. “The display of the Rangers saw the officials from Queens Park Rangers, Norwich and Chelsea take special interest in the details of the boys for possible follow up,” Adetiba added.
