Toomaj Salehi risks being hanged after the conviction on the Shariah charge of "corruption on Earth" by a Revolutionary Court
Man-of-the-match Rahul bamboozled the Neel batsman with five wickets to keep them down to 134 for 8 from their 25 overs and later contributed 31 before retiring having faced 30 balls to see his team to their seventh win from 10 matches.
Neel, on the other hand, have lost all ten matches they have played. Neel got off to one of their better starts in the tournament when their top three batsmen were among the runs.Openers Gaurav Rajkumar and Vishal Hiranandani put on 39 runs.
Gaurav’s 25 came off 31 balls and consisted of two fours, while Vishal too hit two boundaries in his 15 from 22 balls.
It was a good platform for the rest of the batsmen to come and build on it.
But except for Ronit Phulwani, who hit 26, the other batsmen just capitulated against some superb bowling from Rahul, whose bowling figures read 4-0-22-5.
Petrochem too were rocked early losing opener Avinash Kalwani for nought. But Rahul and Deep Kundwani strung a 68-run partnership to take the team closer to victory.
Rahul had to retire on 31 after facing 30 balls, which is the rule of the tournament, and Deep hit 30 from 25.
At this stage the match was still evenly poised but Neeraj Makhija settled their nerves with a timely unbeaten 32 to win the match for Petrochem on the last ball.
