Pomeroy triumphs in Ramadan Open golf

Al Badia Golf Club played host to the Ramadan Open on Saturday with Nick Pomeroy posting 37 points to win the Individual Stableford format tournament.

Despite the windy and very hot afternoon, Pomeroy was able to battle through to shoot a round of +2 (74), highlighted by an eagle on the par 5 eighth. Pomeroy narrowly edged out Runner-up Jurry De Vries, on count back, who also posted an impressive 37 point effort. Jacqueline O’Connor took 3rd with a solid 35 point performance.

Longest Drive was taken by Richard Kiddell on the 12th hole. Glory Xavier won Longest Drive with her tee shot on the 9th. James McSweeney took home Nearest to the Pin honours with his iron shot on the 11th. Glory Xavier completed her impressive double by earning the Nearest to the Pin with her shot on the seventh hole.
