Phoenix to meet Yogi in Al Dhaid Ramadan final

In the first semi-finals, Yogi Group produced a stellar performance to trounce Interface Transworld by eight wickets.

Yogi Group and Phoenix Medicine will fight for the title after putting up brilliant shows in the semi-finals of the 6th Al Dhaid Ramadan Tournament at the Al Dhaid Cricket Village. The tournament is organized by the Sharjah Cricket Council.

In the first semi-finals, Yogi Group produced a stellar performance to trounce Interface Transworld by eight wickets.

Salman Faris did the groundwork to claim a superb four wickets that saw Interface Transworld being shot out for a meagre 75, which Yogi Group batsmen chased down in just the 11th over.

Asked to bat first, Interface Transworld made a dreadful start losing three wickets for 27 runs and then losing another two adding 13 more runs. Only Bilal Arshad contributed 19 runs in the top order before Salman Faris took charge to run through the middle and lower order as Interface mustered only 75 in 15.3 overs.

Mohammad Rameez was the other successful bowler picking up two wickets while Hasan Ali, Shehzad Manna and Akhter Kuani all took a wicket each. With no much pressure chasing a small total, Yogi Group’s opening in-form batsman Swapnil Salvi made a good start hitting an unbeaten 25 from 22 deliveries including two boundaries and a six.

In the second semi-finals, Phoenix Medicine defeated Alubond Tigers by four wickets.
