Umm Al Quwain: Panthers, Asics, SPF Realty and ANIB XI on Top all entered the semifinals of the 7th Umm Al Quwain T-20 League tournament organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association. The tournament was held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.

In the first quarterfinals, Panthers scored 196 for eight in 20 overs after Saqib Rasheed powered to 76 off 48 balls including seven boundaries and a six. Shahid Nawaz fired a 7-ball 25 including four sixes while Mohammad Fawad smashed 33 from 16 balls to ensure Panthers had a fine total.

In reply, Arun Alex (72, 35b, 11x4, 2x6) and Amjad Khan (63, 45b, 5x4, 2x6) fought hard taking Al Futtaim Honda racing to the target but once the partnership fell, the other batsmen failed to contribute as Al Futtaim wrapped up for 171 for nine in 20 overs.

Nabil Iqbal was the pick of the bowler claiming four wickets while Farhan Babar bagged three and Mohammad Fawad took two.
