Mulk Holdings storm into final

AJMAN — Mohammad Azam played an outstanding unbeaten knock of 159 runs off just 69 balls to help Mulk Holdings reach the final of Ajman Cricket Council Mulk Holdings Twenty20 Cup, beating Spartans CC by 7 wickets.

Batting first, Spartans CC put on 252 in their allotted 20 overs.

Hassan Saood played an entertaining knock of 151 not out while Shahid and Ashfaq chipped in with 32 and 28 runs respectively. Azam, Samiullah and Sharif took one wicket each.

In reply, Mulk Holdings exhibited great character by chasing down the daunting target in 18.2 overs. Azam’s was a belligerent knock and he was ably assisted by Samiullah (43). Shahzad, Hassan and Ashfaq got one wicket each.

Azam was declared man-of-the-match. Mulk Holdings face the winners of the Age Steel-Al Jabeen game.
