Dubai — The annual Mixed Christmas Scramble was a great success with 120 players taking part in the event, a Press release said.
Many took part in festive colours and costumes offering a true Christmas feeling across the fairways of the Faldo Course.
It was the junior quadrant of Bradley Mogire, Zubin Chandra, William Thoren and Vaughn Reed who took the spoils with a fantastic net 56.4. Runners up with a net 58 were Achal Ghai, Kush Sama, Naresh Handa and Jugwinder Brar. They were closely followed by Gaurav Verma, Ghanshyam Manghnani, Surjit Namli and Nishith Patel in third place with a net 58.7.
There were several on course prizes on offer. Nearest to pin on the 8th hole was won by Christiane Sprunck whilst Joan Legnar claimed the other ladies prize on hole 17. The nearest to pins for the gents were won by Komal Sharma on the 2nd hole with Morteza Farzaneh claiming the honours on hole 12. The long drive contests were won by Tania Sangani on the 16th hole and Rajinder Razdan on the 5th hole.
The organisers at the Emirates Golf Club thanked all the participants for making it an event to remember and wished everyone a Merry Christmas.
