Masters Champions League (MCL) chairman Zafar Shah concluded a successful week-long tour of Mumbai to firm up the operational details for the tournament on Sunday, a Press release said.
During the visit Shah met up with a number of key stakeholders as the process to deliver a world-class tournament gathers pace. Shah met a number of prospective broadcasters, sponsors and other key members of the fraternity.
“It was a fruitful trip as we conducted a number of key meetings as we begin our countdown to the tournament. To see the enthusiasm of the stakeholders gave us a huge fillip as it reinforced the faith in our dream,” Shah said.
Also during the trip, Shah congratulated legends Sachin Tendulkar and Shane Warne for their initiative of playing a legends’ series in the US.
“Mr Tendulkar and Mr Warne are doing a sterling job in organising these matches in new territories. There can be nothing better than this. We are fully supporting this initiative by Mr Tendulkar and Mr Warne. All of us are together in this process of seeing legends in their second innings as a player.”
