Al Jabeen Cricket Club, Al Manal Development, Malik Contracting LLC and Ikat Brothers CC all topped their respective groups to enter the quarter-finals of the Umm Al Quwain 6th Invitation Premier T-20 League organised by the Umm Al Quwain Cricket Association.

The tournament was held under the supervision of the Emirates Cricket Board and played under the auspices of the Ajman Cricket Council and Domestic Cricket Development Committee.

Yaqoob Masih smashed a stunning 201 facing just 77 deliveries that included 15 hits to the fence and 19 over it as Al Jabeen Cricket Club posted a massive 119-run victory against Emirates NBD. Mohammad Arif chipped in with 34.

Earlier batting first, Emirates NBD batsmen made good starts but failed to convert as they reached 152 for eight in 20 overs. Haroon Rashed (31), Irfan Shaikh (27) and Kamal Khan (20) were the scorers. Shams Abbas, Imran Tariq and Ghulam Shabbir claimed two wickets each. Al Manal Development defeated Golden Tower LLC by three wickets in the final group match. Opting to bat first, Golden Tower could manage only 125 after Nadeem Akhther bagged four wickets while Babar Ghazanfar and Wali Khan took two each. For Golden Tower, Mickey Sandhu top scored 49 while Amjad Bajwa hit 28. Chasing a relatively easier target, Gafoor Butt (35) and Wali Khan (22) shone with the bat as Al Manal overhauled the target in just 15 overs.

Malik Contracting also kept their winning streak going defeating Thrissur Tiger by a massive 115 runs. Batting first, Amjad Khan (84, 34b, 8x4, 6x6), Hussnain Shah (68, 36b, 7x4, 3x6) and Rana Abdul Hafeez (58, 25b, 8x4, 2x6) all struck half centuries to ensure Malik Contracting posted a mammoth 264 for 3 in 20 overs. In reply, Thrissur Tigers lost wicket regularly with only Anil top scoring with a gritty 42 as they could muster only a meager 149 in 20 overs.
